QURGHON TEPPA, January 16, Asia-Plus - In 2005, 149 crimes committed by minors were reported in Khatlon, which is two cases fewer compared to the previous year, Asia-Plus has learned at the Khatlon prosecutor’s office.
According to the source, criminal proceedings were instituted on 128 cases. Last year, number of such crimes increased in Bokhtar (11 cases against 7 cases reported in 2004), Farkhor (8 cases against 3 cases in 2004) and Vose (8 cases against one case reported in 2004), the Asia-Plus interlocutor said, noting that the totaled including one killing, 82 thefts, two cases of drug trafficking, one case of hooliganism and one case entailing serious bodily injury of victim.
“In 2005, prosecutors investigated into 142 crimes committed by minors, and 109 cases moved to courts,” the source said, noting that majority of minors facing charges are students of secondary schools.
