Qurbonali Muhabbatov noted that they carried out 117 inspections on the transport last year. As a result of those inspections, 118 people were reprimanded, 69 were fined and 68 other people faced administrative charges for violation of laws.
According to him, following materials prepared by the transportation prosecutor’s office more than 8.5 million Somonis were raised from offenders, which is 384,000 Somonis more compared to 2004. “Of this amount, 1.5 million Somonis were transferred to the national budget and more than 7 million Somonis were sent to organization and enterprises that suffered losses from those infringements,” the chief transportation prosecutor stressed.
According to Muhabbatov, the transportation prosecutor’s office instituted 42 criminal proceedings on the basis of general inspectorate last year and 21 statements of claim for a total amount of 366,000 Somonis were brought into courts in 2005.
On the control over observance of law on protection of state-owned property, Tajik chief transportation prosecutor named it of one priorities and main directions of activity of his office and noted that last year, the transportation prosecutor’s office instituted 22 criminal proceedings on this matter and 32 officials were reprimanded or fined.
