QURGHON TEPPA, May 31, Asia-Plus - A court in the Jilikul district of Khatlon has sentenced local resident Rozymurat Amriddinov to 16 years in jail.

According to information from the local prosecutor’s office, the sentence followed his conviction on charges of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl.  The source says that Rozymurat Amriddinov on February 2 this year kidnapped the girl from her house and took her to the Kolkhozobod, where he committed the mentioned crime.  “On May 3, he was detained in the house of his sister,” the source said.

Besides, the Jilikul prosecutor’s office has also instituted criminal proceedings against Akmurat Bekov, who charged with sexual solicitation of minor girl.  “The criminal proceedings have been instituted following application lodged by the girl’s mother,” the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.
