KHUJAND, October 30, Asia-Plus -- Officer from the Bobojonghafurov military registration and enlistment office has been detained on suspicion of having been involved bribery.
According to the Sughd police directorate, officers from Sughd squad for combating organized crimes Monday caught Alijon Aliyev, chief of the department II at the Bobojonghafurov military registration and enlistment office, red-handed when he was taking bribe (400 somonis) from local 25-year-old resident for deferring his military service for a year.
The Sughd military prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against Aliyev and an investigation is under way.
