KHUJAND, February 6, Asia-Plus -- Lecturer at Khujand State University has been arrested on suspicion of having taken bribe from students.
According to press service of the Sughd anticorruption directorate, Mahmoud Rustamov, a teacher of the Department of Physics at Khujand State University, was arrested for taking 700 somonis from 13 students for exam.
In the meantime, the Sughd anticorruption directorate chief Millopar Bandishoyev said that 89 criminal proceedings on corruption charges were instituted in the Sughd province last year.
