DUSHANBE, May 20, Asia-Plus -- The body of a boy with several stab wounds and his scalp removed was found in a vineyard of the Collective farm Moskva in the Hissor district, some 25 kilometers to the west of Dushanbe, yesterday, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI said that the boy had been identified as the 6-year-old Isroil Haidarov from the Collective Farm Moskva.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way. Senior representatives from the MoI and Hissor police directorate and prosecutor’s office went to the Collective Farm Moskva today morning.
According to data of the Ministry of Interior, compared to January-April 2007 the number of registered crimes in the Hissor district in the first four months of this year has increased by 68.5 percent.
Over the report period, 4,294 crimes have been reported in the country, which 0.8 percent more than in the same period of last year. Crimes registered in the country over the report period included 938 grave crimes, which is 6.2 percent more than in January-April 2007.
Over the report period, the number of deliberated murders has increased by 40.6 percent, fraud – by 43.5 percent, and robbery – by 23.8 percent.
