QURGHON TEPPA, May 28, Asia-Plus -- A prosecutor’s office in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of the Khatlon province has completed preliminary investigation into case of former director of the limited liability company Umed-1 (Qurghon Teppa cotton ginning factory) Saidjaffar Jobirov, who is charged with not paying wages to his employees, Asia-plus has learned from Suhrob Davlatov, a chief aide to the Qurghon Teppa prosecutor.
According to him, Jobirov served as director of the company Umed-1 from November 24, 2000 to August 1, 2007. “Over the report period, he transferred had 260,000 somonis, intended for paying wages to the company employees, to the joint venture TAMER&NB and some other enterprises and organizations,” the chief aide said, adding that Jobirov faces charges under the provisions of two articles of the Criminal Code – Article 153’ (not paying wages, pensions, allowances and grants) and Article 314 (abuse of office).
