DUSHANBE, July 1, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Police officers have solved the cruel murder of shepherd in the Tursunzoda district, some 45 kilometers west of Dushanbe, according press service of the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
A dead body with numerous stab wounds was found in one of pastures in the Tursunzoda district at the beginning of last week. The dead man was identified as 43-year-old Kholmumin Berdiyev, shepherd with one of jamoats in Tursunzoda, who had pastured sheep and goats of local residents.
A special group that was set up to investigate this cruel killing found the trace of the murderer within several days. The killer proved to be Berdiyev’s fellow villager, the 33 year-old Abdujabbor Haitov.
Haitov confessed to killing Berdiyev for personal hostility and stealing 300 head of sheep and goats, the press service said. Haitov managed to sold 70 head of sheep and goats and drove the remaining 230 head of sheep and goat to pastures of his acquaintances
