KHUJAND, November 19, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A group of unidentified men have robbed the Tajik State University of Law, Business and politics in Khujand.
According to the Sughd police authorities, unidentified men broke into the university’s building on the night of November 16-17. “The assailants struck the guard, 69-year-old Aliboy Sobirov, over the head with a heavy object and seized 28,551 somoni from the university’s cash office,” said the source at the Sughd police directorate, “The guard died of the wound received on the spot”
The Sughd police directorate set up a special police unit on November 17 to conduct an investigation.
