QURGHON TEPPA, January 15, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Khatlon police directorate committed 13 crimes last year, Asia-Plus has learned from Nazarbek Khudoyorov, deputy chief of the Khatlon police directorate.
According to him, crimes committed by local police officers related mainly to corruption and exceeding authority.
Meanwhile, speaking at a meeting of regional administrators in the city of Qurghon Teppa, Deputy Prime Minister Ruqiya Qurbonova noted that 48 crimes were committed by the Khatlon law enforcement officers in 2008.
