KHUJAND, April 17, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Prosecutor’s offices in the Sughd province have instituted 28 criminal proceedings over the first quarter of this year, acting chief prosecutor of the Sughd province Muzaffar Boqiyev announced at a press conference in Khujand on April 16.
According to him, 19 of those cases have already moved to courts.
Over the report period, four criminal proceedings have been instituted against 8 officers of local law enforcement agencies, including seven police officers and one judge, the prosecutor said.
