DUSHANBE, May 8, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Two Afghan nationals have been sentenced to 24 years in prison each for drug trafficking, according to the Supreme Court.
The source at the Supreme Court noted that Afghan nationals Khairiddin valadi Sulaymon and Nazir valadi Imonazar were detained in Khatlon’s Shuroobod district at the end of last year and some 84 kilograms of narcotics, including some 30 kilograms of cannabis, 48 kilograms of hashish and six kilograms of heroin, as well as weapons were confiscated from them.
