KHUJAND, August 12, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Ms. Norinisso Usmonova, an employee with the branch of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) in Sughd’s Bojonghafurov districts is accused of embezzling the district pensions for May 2009.
According to press service of the Sughd police directorate, Ms. Usmonova, who served as inspector-treasurer with Amonabonk’s branch in Bobojonghafurov, embezzled 68,873 somoni through forging documents and signatures.
The Bobojonghafurov prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against Usmonova under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – Article 245, Part 2 (embezzlement or misappropriation) and Article 340, part 2 (document forgery); an investigation is under way.
