KHUJAND, September 22, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A group of top managers of the central city hospital in the northern city of Taboshar face charge of embezzlement of state funds, according to the Sughd police directorate.
The Taboshar prosecutor’s office instituted criminal proceedings against the hospital’s head physician Homid Khidirov, chief accountant Gulnora Ergashboyeva and cashier Saodat Mahmadqulova on September 18.
“They face charge of embezzlement 850 somoni of state funds provided from the local fund for encouraging on occasion of a Day of Medical Workers, which is marked on August 12,” the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them under the provisions of Article 245, Part 2 (embezzlement or misappropriation of funds) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
