KULOB, December 28, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Number of students who are involved in committing crimes is increasing in Khatlon’s Kulob zone.
Abdurahmon Buzmakov, the deputy chief of the Khatlon police directorate for the Kulob zone, met with students from Kulob’s university as well as medical and teachers’ training colleges today.
According to him, 339 crimes, including 10 murders, 281 thefts, and two attempts of selling minors, have been committed by young people in the area this year. There are many students among those having been involved in the crimes, Buzmakov noted.
“Ten students charged with different crimes, ranging from thefts to porno spreading, will stand trial in the near future,” the Kulob police chief said, adding that some students have also been involved in drug trafficking.
