KHUJAND, January 28, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Kazakhstan authorities have extradited the 39 year-old resident of Sughd’s Isfara district, Idris Sattorov, who is suspected of being member of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), to Tajikistan, according to the Sughd police directorate.
Idris Sattorov, who had been wanted by Tajik police since March 2006, was transported to Tajikistan on January 27. He is suspected of being an activist of the IMU cell in the Isfara district. “Sattorov was detained by Kazakh border guards at the end of 2009,” the source said.
According to him, official charges of killing, organization of criminal grouping and deliberate destruction of property by means of arson or explosion have been brought against Sattorov.
