KHUJAND, March 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- An operation by officers from the Sughd counternarcotics directorate has led to the arrest of alleged drug pusher in the Mastchoh district.
According to the Sughd counternarcotics directorate, resident of the Mastchoh was detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing following report received from Mastchoh on March 1. A package containing 5.489 kilograms of hashish was confiscated from him.
“The preliminary investigation has established that the seized hashish belongs to resident of the village of Dehmanora in the Mastchoh district, whose name is not disclosed in interest of the investigation,” said the source, “They were going to exchange the narcotic drug for a car Opel-Vectra.”
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
