DUSHANBE, March 4, 2010, Asia-Plus - A large amount of counterfeit dollars have been confiscated from a student from the Khujand University of Law, Business and Politics, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI said that I.A., the third-year student at the Khujand University of Law, Business and Politics, was detained at one of bazaars in Khujand yesterday evening and 50 counterfeit 100-dollar banknotes were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against I.A. under the provisions of Article 281, Part 2 (manufacturing and uttering counterfeit money and stocks).
