QURGHON TEPPA, April 7, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Habibullo Zinnatshoyev, the deputy chairman of the electricity supply enterprise in the Panj district, Khatlon province has been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in corruption.
Faridoun Mirov, the chief of the department for investigation in special cases, Khatlon prosecutor’s office, told Asia-Plus that Zinnatshoyev acting in collusion with the enterprise inspector Zafar Ibodov had embezzled 93,238 somoni collected from residential customers for electricity consumption.
The Khatlon prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against Habibullo Zinnatshoyev under the provisions of articles 245 (embezzlement or misappropriation) and 316 (misuse of powers) of Tajikistan’s penal code and an investigation is under way.
