QURGHON TEPPA, April 7, 2001, Asia-Plus -- The Qurghon Teppa prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against the chief cook at local cafeteria “Registon,” Zokir Khalilov.
Abdulmumin Kabirov, an investigator with the Qurghon Teppa prosecutor’s office, says local prosecutors found a consignment of vodka while inspecting the cafeteria, though Khalilov does not have license for selling alcohol drinks. “Moreover, the vodka proved to be of low quality and unfit for consumption,” the prosecutor said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Khalilov under the provisions of Article 209, Part 1 (manufacturing and selling goods not meeting safety requirements).
Kabirov added that similar criminal proceedings had been instituted against S. Qosimov, the chief cook at the Qurghon Teppa restaurant “Firouza,” as well. Qosimov was also engaged in selling low-quality alcohol drinks, he said.
