DUSHANBE. May 28. “Asia-Plus” -- On May 27 speaker of the lower chamber of the Tajik parliament Shukurjon Zuhurov met with representatives of Supreme courts from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states who arrived in Dushanbe to take part in the fifth session of heads of Supreme courts of SCO countries.

Mr Zuhurov told the guests about the role of judicial system in the Tajik society, the rule of law in the republic and about the process of formation of lawmaking in the Tajik parliament, press service of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi oli of Tajikistan told the AP.

Deputy secretary general of SCO Michail Kanarovsky pointed at the great contribution of Tajikistan President into the development and expansion of cooperation between SCO structures.

He stressed that together with the expansion of economic, scientific and technical and cultural ties within SCO there is a need to strengthen cooperation in judicial sector.

Session participants have also shared their views on multiple issues of significant importance for SCO member states.
