DUSHANBE. June 3. “Asia-Plus” -- Tajik Foreign Ministry and its diplomatic mission in Afghanistan are observing the situation around Tajik citizen Ilyas Karimov arrested in Kabul in late May on suspicion of terrorism, a spokesman for Tajik Foreign Minister Davlat Nazriev told the AP.
According to him, Afghan authorities have informed Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the arrest of one Tajik citizen. “Tomorrow our consul in Kabul will meet with the arrested Karimov who is being kept in one of Kabul jails,” Nazriev has said.
According to Nazriev, the arrested citizen of Tajikistan refers to category of suspects and only court can acknowledge him criminal.
Earlier Afghan news agency Bohtar reported about the arrest of Tajik citizen Ilyas Karimov, citizen of Pakistan Hiel Jamol and one citizen of Russia Nail Kaev on suspicion of terror attacks in Bagram.
