DUSHANBE, August 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Police reportedly seized more than 25 kilograms of narcotics in the Tajik capital in two separate operations conducted on August 1 and 2, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
A special operation conducted by the law enforcement officers on August 2 led to the arrest of drug pusher Hamrokhon Idiyev, who has the previous conviction for drug trafficking. More than 22 kilograms of drugs, including more than 19 kilograms of hashish and more than 3 kilograms of heroin, were confiscated from him, the source said.
On Sunday August 1, an inspection of passengers on the flight Dushanbe-Moscow found more than two kilograms of heroin hidden in the luggage belonging to Ms. Nazokat Hoitova.
