KHUJAND, August 5, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Two clerks of the court in Bobojonghafurov district, Sughd province have been caught taking bribe.
According to the Sughd anticorruption directorate, two clerks of the Bobojonghafurov district court – Amirkhon Nematov and Umarali Mardonov – were caught red-handed yesterday when they were taking bribe from local resident M.N. They promised him to help mitigate punishment and demanded 2,700 somoni for that, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Nematov and Mardonov under the provisions of Article 247 (3) of Tajik Penal Code – large-scale fraud.
