DUSHANBE, August 27, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Fayziddin Bobobekov, a judge with the court in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, was detained yesterday on suspicion of having been involved in corruption.
Ashourali Mirzoyev, the chief of the Dushanbe anticorruption directorate, told Asia-Plus today that criminal proceedings have been instituted against Bobobekov under the provisions of three articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 316 (2,3) – misuse of official powers; Article 314 (4) – bribe taking; and Article 349 – deliberately passing illegal sentence.
