DUSHANBE, September 28, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Unidnetified persons have robbed the branch of Tajikistan’s largest commercial, Orienbonk, in the city of Roghun, 100 kilometers east of Dushanbe.
The source at one of Tajik law enforcement agencies told Asia-Plus today that the bank was robbed Sunday evening.
“According to application by the branch’s administration, the guard violated instruction and left his post to have supper,” said the source, “At this time, robbers removed window grilles, entered the branch and seized a large amount of money.”
Representatives from Orienbonk’s headquarters in Dushanbe refrained from commenting on the incident.
