DUSHANBE, February 9, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A 27-year-old woman from Sughd’s Isfara district, Z.E., and a 47-year-old woman from Roudaki district, M.G., face charge of buying and selling of minors, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI says M.G., who has previous conviction, was detained on February 8. “In collusion with Z.E., M.G. on February 6 sold her 4-year-old son to businesswoman from Roudaki district for US$25,000.”
All participants in this crime have been detained and the preliminary investigation is under way, the source said.
According to data from the MoI, 16 crimes related to buying and selling of minors were solved in the country in 2010.
