DUSHANBE, February 28, 2011, Asia-Plus -- An operation carried out by drug control officers in Dushanbe at the end of last week led to the arrest of a drug peddler who brought some eight kilograms of narcotics to the Tajik capital for pushing, the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press service reports.
The drug peddler proved to be unemployed resident of Shahrinav district. Several packages containing some eight kilograms of hashish were found hidden in his car.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
