DUSHANBE, June 2, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe police officers are carrying out search operation for persons who have robbed an Iranian entrepreneur in the center of Dushanbe.
The source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) says the police station in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district has received an application from Iranian entrepreneur who was robbed near the Opera and Ballet Theater in Dushanbe on June 1. “Unknown persons stole his bag with his ID papers, US$7,500 and 250,000 Iranian Rials,” the source said.
According to the statistical data from the Interior Ministry, theft remains the most widely-spread crime in the country. 1,893 cases of theft have been reported in Tajikistan over the first five months of this year; 1,726 thefts have already been solved.
