DUSHANBE, July 29, 2011, Asia-Plus – A Khujand resident was detained on July 28 on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing, the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press center reports.
When searching his Daewoo Nexia, the drug control officers found several packages of narcotics hidden in spare wheel. A totaled included more than 6.5 kilograms of heroin and some one kilogram of hashish.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug pusher under the provisions of Article 200 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – trafficking in narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors; an investigation is under way.
