DUSHANBE, September 16, 2011, Asia-Plus -- According to the Interior Ministry, the murder of chief of the military registration office in the Chorkuh Jamoat, Sughd’s Isfara district has been solved.
Five residents of this jamoat – Nasim Salimzoda, 21, Farhod Dodoboyev, 22, Muhammadsharif Umarov, 27, Ravshankhoja Kholov, 27, and Yosinjon Safarov, 27 – were detained yesterday on suspicion of having been involved in that crime and an investigation is under way.
We will recall that the body of the Chorkuh military registration office chief Sodiq Ashourov, 34, with signs of a violent death was found Monday night not far from Isfara’s police station-2.
“Unidentified persons attacked Sodiq Ashourov,” the source told Asia-Plus in an interview on September 13. “They severely beat him and escaped. Ashourov died of injuries sustained in the attack.”
