KHUJAND, November 25, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 250 corruption-related and economic crimes have been reported in Sughd province over the first nine months of this year, which is twice as much compared to the same period last year, according to the anticorruption agency’s office in northern Tajikistan.
Only 125 such crimes were registered in the area in January-September 2010, the source said.
According to the findings by the anticorruption agency, corruption has cost Sughd 30,331,784 somoni over the report period and only some 16 million somoni have been reimbursed to this day.
