A teacher of one of Tajik universities is facing bribery charges.
As reported by the Regional Department of Interior for Sughd province, K.R. a teacher of the Khujand Institute of Economy and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce demanded a $1650 bribe for helping one of university entrants to enter the institution.
The teacher was arrested in her office when taking the bribe. Sughd Prosecutor Office launched criminal proceedings under part 1 of part 3-320 article 32 (preparing for a crime and committing a crime – giving bribe to public official) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan. The investigation is under way.
