DUSHANBE, June 11, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The 44-year-old A.Sh., deputy chief of the military registration and enlistment office in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, has been detained on suspicion of having taken bribe given, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
An official source at a MoI says that acting in collusion with officials from the military registration and enlistment office and the military unit of the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES) in the Jomi district, Khatlon province, A.Sh. took $600.00 bribe from local resident for the fake military identification card.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
