DUSHANBE, June 12, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Two nationals of the Netherlands have been robbed by unidentified assailants in Tajikistan.
According to an official website of the Ministry of Interior, the incident took place yesterday afternoon in the Hushyori area, Varzob district, some 70 kilometers to the north of Dushanbe. Using force, the criminals reportedly took 800 U.S. dollars, 1220 somoni, notebook, mobile phone Nokia and five credit cards from them.
Police have launched an investigation into the case and Minister of Interiors Ramazon Abdurahimov has taken the case under his control, the source said. Police have promised cash award for help in the investigation.
