The Dushanbe police have arrested a 33-year-old female resident of Varzob region who provided immigration to Canada services. The arrested woman faces fraud charges.
Dilafruz Umarova, head of the "Mir Znanij" (World of Knowledge) company, was arrested for providing immigration to Canada services, Tajik Ministry of Interior reports. "She received a total of $16.500 and spent the money for her own purposes," the source has said.
Thus, in March 2011 she promised one of residents of Dushanbe send him to Canada and took $2.760 for her services. In February 2012 she took $6000 from a resident of Hissar region and $3.700 and $4000 from two residents of Dushanbe. Criminal proceedings have been launched, investigation is under way.
