KHUJAND, December 4, 2012, Asia-Plus -- An Istaravshan man will spend the rest of his life in a prison for killing his wife and daughter-in-law.
The Sughd regional court sentenced Ghaybullo Nasrulloyev, 48, to life in prison on December 3. The sentence followed his conviction on the charge of double murder.
Mr. Justice Habibullo Mirboboyev, who presided over the trial, says Ghaybullo Nasrulloyev killed his wife and daughter-in-law with an axe last summer following family quarrel. “He then gave himself up,” Mirboboyev said.
It is the second life imprisonment sentence passed in the northern Sughd province this year. A 21-year-old Quvondiq Inoyatov from the Zafarobod district was sentenced to life in prison last month for killing three persons with an axe, the judge added.
