KHUJAND, June 14, 2013, Asia-Plus -- O.D., deputy director of the Medical College in the northern city of Konibodom, has reportedly been caught red-handed taking US$1,400 bribe.
An official source at the anticorruption agency’s office for Sughd province says they received an application from Konibodom resident B.H. on June 7, who noted that O.D. demanded 1,400 USD from him for assisting his relative with entering the college.
O.D., who is the deputy director of the Konibodom Medical College for logistics, has been caught red-handed while taking the bribe.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 247 (2) -- fraud and Article 32 (3) – preparation for crime and attempted crime; an investigation is under way.
