QURGHON TEPPA, July 9, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Sang Qaraboyev, Director of the Institute for Teachers’ Professional Development in Qurghon Teppa, Khatlon province faces bribe-taking charge.
“Qaraboyev was caught red-handed while he was taking 14,000 somoni from Sobir Nasimov, head of the limited liability company, Alisher, which operates the Institute canteen,” Hikmatullo Ismatov, an official with the anticorruption agency’s office’s in Khatlon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Qaraboyev under the provisions of Article 247 (3) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – large-scale fraud; an investigation is under way.
