DUSHANBE, August 7, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The deputy chairperson of the GBAO regional court, Hazratullo Ibrohimov, faces bribery charge.
According to the anticorruption agency, Ibrohimov was caught red-handed by officers from the anticorruption agency’s office for Gorno Badakhshan while he was taking 1,000 U.S. dollars from Qimmatsho Kanayev, former principal of one of secondary schools in the Rushan district, for dropping criminal case instituted against him. “Kanayev is charged with untargeted use of budgetary funds,” the source said.
Ibrohimov was appointed deputy chairperson of the GBAO regional court two years ago. Before that he had served as judge at the Supreme Court of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
