DUSHANBE, August 29, 2013, Asia-Plus – Head of Penal Colony YaS #3/1 of the General Directorate of Execution of Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan, Rustam Tashtemirov, whose name figured in the case of death of inmate, Hamza Ikramzade, has been removed from position and appointed as head of penal colony 3/7, where former law enforcement officers serve sentences.
A reliable source in the Execution of Sentences Directorate informed Asia-Plus about it. However, he did not comment the reason behind the change of positions.
Meanwhile, the office of the Head of Execution of Sentences Directorate declined to comment on the matter to Asia-Plus, but did not deny the information about Mr. Tashtemirov’s transfer to another point.
