DUSHANBE, October 10, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Five persons have been arrested on suspicion of robbing the house of the father Merojiddin Hakimov, a member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, five persons armed with a knife and a toy gun broke into the house of Dostmurod Hakimov in the early morning of October 10 (00:30 am), beating Hakimov’s grandson and stealing 1,700 somoni and jewelry.
Five persons, including Barzou Hakimov, 26, from the Roudaki district, Firouz Sharipov, 20, Mohammad Umarov, 40, Sanjimurod Khudoiberdiyev, 43, and Komiljon Sayfiddinov, 22, from the Fayzobod district were arrested on the same day on suspicion of robbing the house of Dostmurod Hakimov.
Two other alleged robbers – certain Mahmoud and Abdullo – are wanted by police, the Interior Ministry’s website reports.
