KHUJAND, April 23, 2014, Asia-Plus – An entrepreneur from the village of Gudos in the Asht district of Sughd province has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

According to information from the Sughd chief prosecutor’s office, Aminjon Aminjonov shot resident of the village of Asht, Firouz Ergashev, to death on April 18 at 7:00 pm; motive remains unknown.

A source at the Sughd chief prosecutor’s office refrained from giving further details.   

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Aminjon Aminjonov under the provisions of Article 104 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – murder; an investigation is under way.
