DUSHANBE, July 6, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Two officials from Vahdat Township, some 17 kilometers of Dushanbe, have been arrest on suspicion of taking bribe, according to the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption.
An official source at the anticorruption agency says Ramazon Bekov, a chief specialist with the Vahdat administration and Rahmiddin Halimov, an employee of Vahdat head’s office have been caught read-handed while taking 5,000 U.S. dollars from local resident F.H. for allotment of land for housing.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the corrupt officials and an investigation is under way.
