DUSHANBE, August 2, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Qiyomiddin Khojayev, the deputy head of the Republican Clinical Center (Qariyai Bolo Hospital), reportedly faces a large-scale fraud charge.
According to the press center of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, Khojayev was caught red-handed on July 31 when he was taking 1,500 U.S. dollars from Ms. Qambarova for reinstating her son into the Kulob Medical College with further transfer to the Dushanbe Medical College.
Criminal proceedings have reportedly been instituted against Qiyomiddin Khojayev under the provisions of Article 247 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – a large-scale fraud; an investigation is under way.
