Charteppa jamaat resident in Rudaki district, Rana Rajabova, was detained by the Anti-Corruption Agency officers on suspicion of accepting a bribe in an especially large amount.
According to the Anti-Corruption and Financial Control Agency press service, the woman was detained based on a claim by Z.K. – a Tajik citizen.
According to the source, it is established that Ms. Rajabova, gaining Z.K.’s confidence took 85 thousand US Dollars in order to arrange for his son’s acceptance into the Medical University, and in parallel into the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
It is reported that Ms. Rajabova took the money, but did not fulfil her promise.
Rana Rajabova is charged under Article 247, part 4 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
