DUSHANBE, January 26, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The chief military recruitment officer in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, Mamasharif Roziqov, has been arrested for alleged bribe-taking.
Officials at the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption say Roziqov is suspected of taking 1,600 U.S. dollars and 2,500 somoni from Dushanbe resident A. Nourov in exchange for issuing a counterfeit military service certificate.
Dushanbe resident Usmonali Fayzulloyev suspected of arranging the bribe has also been arrested.
An investigation has reportedly been launched into bribe-taking.
