DUSHANBE, March 10, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The Interior Ministry’s official website reports the 34-year-old woman from Dushanbe, D.R., was arrested on March 8 on suspicion of involvement in buying and selling of a newborn baby.
She was reportedly mediator in selling of a newborn girl of the 22-yer-old resident of Yovon to the 39-year-old resident of Dushanbe for 6,000 Russian rubles (RR) and 800 somoni.
The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that in August last year, D.R., sold a newborn girl of the 19-year-old resident of Dushanbe to resident of the Ayni district (Sughd province) for 1,500 somoni, the website reports.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
