A joint board meeting of the Interior Ministries of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation took place in Moscow on October 8.
Co-chaired by Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and his Tajik counterpart Ramazon Rahimzoda, the meeting discussed issues related to collaboration regarding the preliminary investigation and the fight against drug trafficking, according to the Russian Interior Ministry’s press center.
Speaking at the meeting, Russian interior minister reportedly highly appraised the results of operations on searching for hiding suspects and noted the arrest of 78 wanted criminals in joint raids made by Tajik and Russian policemen in Tajikistan in March this year as positive example of joint work.
The meeting participants also analyzed the efficiency of measures taken to prevent drug trafficking and coordinated their further joint actions in this sphere.
