DUSHANBE, January 21, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan is expected to open the Consulate General in Ufa, the capital of Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic in the near future.
Davlat Nazriyev, a spokesman for Tajik MFA, says the candidacy of the future Tajik Consul General in Ufa is still under consideration by foreign ministries of Russia and Tajikistan.
According to him, the opening of Tajikistan’s Consulate General in Ufa had been discussed long ago and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed an appropriate decree on this subject in August 2008 already.
The Tajik General Consulate in Ufa will represent the Government of Tajikistan in Bashkortostan and thirteen regions of Volga and the Urals.
